The Israeli-Palestinian conflict explained through Angry Birds:
Angry Birds, the feverishly popular iPhone app has made its way into the heart of the historical territorial conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. Eretz Nehederet, (Wonderful Country) A popular Israeli comedy show has chosen to satirize the latest round of Israeli Palestinian peace negotiations.
The presentation of the game’s pigs and birds as enemies, forced into peace talks, regardless of the fact that neither is interested in the talks nor the peace itself, creates a hilarious allegory for the conflict in general, and the current round of talks under way. The current round barely manages to draw a ho-hum response from experience weary Israelis.
